Lord Of The Rings stars Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd surprised the owner of a popular Liverpool restaurant on Friday night when they dropped in and asked for a table.
The group were in the city to attend the Comic Con event the Exhibition Centre on King's Dock.
The third Lord Of The Rings movie finished filming in New Zealand in 2003, and last night's meal is likely the first time the group were reunited in twenty years.
The day before, Dominic Monaghan, who played Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck in the iconic trilogy, posted a throwback picture of the foursome back in their earlier days of filming.
The post was accompanied by the caption: "This weekend we form like voltron at #liverpoolcomiccon."
47-year-old Bloom commented on the photo, writing "Best photo", followed by a love heart emoji.
A day later, and Monaghan shared a new photograph of all four friends gathered around the table at Belzan bistro, near Sefton Park.
He captioned the post: "3 hobbits and an elf and the CONVERSATION tonight was VAULTED."
One follower commented: "Your reunion photos give me life"
Another suggested that the group should invite Viggo Mortensen next time, who played Aragorn in the franchise.
Another wrote: "He’s taking the hobbits to Isengard! Gard Gard Gard Gard!"
Speaking to BBC News, head chef at the establishment Sam Grainger said: "In walked three hobbits and an elf, and literally everyone was gobsmacked."
Mr Grainger said it would have been special "to see one of them, but all of them together" at the Smithdown Road restaurant made it all the more memorable.
"Elijah Wood is very, very recognisable - I don’t think he has aged," he added.
The Comic Con event in Liverpool runs across the weekend, and features other high-profile guests such as Andy Serkis, John Cleese, Katey Sagal from FX drama Sons of Anarchy, and Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes from the Jay and Silent Bob movies.
