Khloé Kardashian accused of ‘blackfishing’ with Halloween fancy dress

A lot of people were unhappy with her costume

The 39-year-old dressed up as a Bratz doll for the spooky holiday, sporting a yellow dress and white jumper with long platinum blonde hair and black boots.

But after seeing pictures of the Kardashian sibling in the costume, some have reacted angrily and accused her of blackfishing.

Blackfishing is the term used for when a White person uses things such as hairstyling or makeup to make them appear as if they have Black heritage or are mixed race.

Commenting on the reality star's Instagram, one person said: "Black fishing periodddd."

Another said: "Remove these photos and let’s have a discussion about cultural misappropriation."

Someone else commented: "The black fishing in this one is out of control."

A fourth asked: "Why are you so brown, Khloe?"

And another person commented: "This is most definitely blackface & I don’t appreciate it."

But some people defended Khloé over her costume.

One person argued: "Khloe isn’t any darker than the other girls she only looks darker because of how blonde her hair is."

A second wrote: "It’s a spray tan I’m sure we all get them."

And another commented: "People are insane. It’s Halloween! You ladies look great. How fun!"

Whilst Khloé sparked controversy with her outfit, her sister Kim faced a backlash for her 'tone-deaf' Halloween decorations.
