Big business can't stop running away from Ye

Johnny Depp's star lawyer, Camille Vasquez, has become the latest person to ditch Kanye West following his antisemitic remarks. Vasquez, who became a celebrity during Depp's highly publicised defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, reportedly told her firm, Brown Rudnick, to close the door to Ye after he tripled down on his hateful comments over the weekend, TMZ reports. Brown Rudnick, according to the publisher, allegedly still attempted to work with the rapper after Vasquez withdrew, on the condition that West retract his statements, though the rapper is said to have refused. Vasquez and West connected just last week to initiate a partnership where she and Brown Rudnick would handle his increasingly complicated business matters, as dozens of entities, including brands, record labels, talent agencies and even banks, withdraw their support of the musician in a public condemnation of his hate speech. The news comes as reports suggested Tuesday that Hollywood talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has also now dropped Ye over his comments, and that Def Jam Recordings has also parted ways with Ye's G.O.O.D Music record label. Last week, the French multinational corporation specialising in luxury goods, Kering, officially announced that Balenciaga has split ways with Ye stating, “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.” JPMorgan Chase ended its banking relationship with YEEZY earlier this month. The big business exodus from the rapper comes weeks after he caused waves of outrage after turning up to his Paris Fashion Week show wearing a White Lives Matter t-shirt, an item he also sent models down the runway wearing.
