As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light.
I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery. — Jeff Bridges (@TheJeffBridges) October 20, 2020
"As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light," Bridges tweeted.
"I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good." "I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery." 70-year-old Jeff Bridges first became a leading man in the 1970s. The son of actors Lloyd Bridges and Dorothy Bridges, he starred in films like The Last Picture Show, Starman, King Kong and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. He also starred in Disney's Tron in 1982, which was revolutionary in its use of computer graphics. It was not at hit a the time, but it became a cult classic with those who grew up watching it, and Bridges reprised his role 28 years later in the sequel Tron: Legacy. Perhaps his most iconic appearance came when he starred as bowling-obsessed slacker Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski in the Coen Brother's classic The Big Lebowski. In 2009 he finally won an Academy Award, picking up the Best Actor Oscar for his performance of an alcoholic country singer in the drama Crazy Heart. Bridges followed up the announcement by saying he was "profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends," and encouraged his American fans to get out and vote in the upcoming US election.I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends.
Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together. https://t.co/6sAU4MYixl Love, Jeff — Jeff Bridges (@TheJeffBridges) October 20, 2020
