The survival reality TV show will see 13 celebrities and public figures placed deep in the Australian jungle, vying for meals and the public’s vote.
A number of well-known names have been linked to this year’s lineup, with Olivia Attwood rumoured to re-enter the jungle after departing early in last year’s series due to health reasons.
Other celebrities include This Morning‘s Josie Gibson, rapper Flava Flav, actress Denise van Outen, Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, and rugby player Danny Cipriani.
In the past, contestants were announced in October, with the show airing in November.
And while this year’s celebs have yet to be confirmed, ITV has released the first official trailer for this year’s series – and it cannot come quick enough.
The show’s hosts, Ant and Dec, return once again to the ‘five-star’ Jungle Retreat, filling a bathtub of mealworms and prepping true I’m A Celeb cuisine: aka a cocktail fountain of an absolutely repulsive liquid that some poor celebrity will be subjected to drink, and an array of off-the-wall, disgusting meals.
“Come away with us, far, far away into the heart of a tropical jungle,” the voiceover begins.
“Dream beneath the stars. Savour exotic cuisine, unlike anything you’ve ever tasted before. Surrender yourself to the ultimate jungle experience.
“Let us pamper you beyond your wildest expectations. You deserve this. We’ll give you the full celebrity treatment.”
Between the Love Island Games and the newest series of I’m A Celeb, we are in for a treat this winter.
