My mouth was still open in shock when Kanye West arrived to steal the show with an amazing, provocative performance of 'All Day' featuring half of the UK's grime and rap names, which we all thought would open the mainstream door for grime music, but nope. Not to mention a dozens of other acts who deserve to be recognised.
But this doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate the British artists who are up for gongs. Nominees Foals, Florence Welch, Adele, Coldplay, Jamie xx and James Bay bring joy to millions around the world through music.
So I'm embracing it (and crossing my fingers for a gangly, bespectacled man to bare his bum).
