The link in the tweet was down as soon as it was put up. No doubt excited fans were desperate to read the full story and crashed the site. And of course 'the unbelievable has happened' and the #GoT hashtag would lead everyone to think it referred to Game of Thrones.
Now we are fully aware that it is April Fools' Day, but surely a major corporation such as Netflix would not be quite so stupid as to alienate and anger their customers with such potentially exciting news? It would be a marketing disaster if it was a prank, surely?
We'll sceptical, but we'll keep a close eye on developments.
