Ooo reunion friends
It would appear we are firmly in the season of reunions with Oasis making a monumental return, Linkin Park rumoured to do the same and even The Smiths having to dismiss talk of getting the band back together.
However, there's one touted reunion that could send the UK into meltdown as recent quotes from the star of cult TV show 'The Inbetweeners' have ignited rumour of a return of the show to screens.
Joe Thomas, the actor that played Simon in the classic sitcom, said that negotiations had "happened in various forms" to get the group back together again.
He added "All of us feel it would be nice to do," referencing his fellow co-stars.
Thomas, who is now 40, said that the cast were still friends despite not working together in a decade while speaking on the Always Be Comedy podcast.
He even sold a pitch for an idea for the reunion with a trip to Las Vegas hinted by Thomas as the follow up to the friend group's escapades in Spain and Australia.
Thomas addressed the natural concerns that come with such a high-profile return after a long absence.
He said: "Everybody’s anxiety would be, ‘Will it be as good?’. That is what we would be going in with."
"We’re all still around, we’re all still in each other’s lives.
He added: “We all still like each other. And if it was something that came up, I think we would want to do it.
“I feel like we all still really like each other.
“We’ve all been able to go away and get various monkeys off our backs, in terms of things that we felt we needed to do other than The Inbetweeners to prove something to ourselves."
The original series found great success for its relatable story telling about growing up and going to school in the UK.
It revolved around the lives of four awkward teenage boys who strike up an unlikely friendship.
The show aired over three seasons from 2008-2010.
It was followed by two films in 2011 and 2014, both of which were box office successes.
Thomas himself has enjoyed the most post-series success, continuing in comedy with appearances on shows such as Taskmaster.
