In an interview with JOE, the actor even suggested where his character could find himself in a follow-up.

Get Out actor Lil Rel Howery has told JOE that he would return for a sequel to the Oscar-winning horror movie.

The actor played Rod Williams in the film, an airport police officer and the loyal best friend to the main protagonist, Chris (played by Daniel Kaluuya).

JOE recently interviewed Howery, alongside Zooey Deschanel, to discuss their new fantasy comedy Harold and the Purple Crayon - which lands in cinemas on Wednesday, 31 July.

And during the discussion, we couldn't help but ask Howery about a potential Get Out 2.

In response, the actor said that he would appear in a sequel and that he has ideas about where a follow-up would find his character.

However, he thinks we may be waiting a while for it as its writer-director Jordan Peele - who won a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Get Out - has loads of ideas for other movies.

"A Get Out sequel would be interesting," Howery told JOE.

When Deschanel then stated that she would like to see a Get Out sequel focusing on Howery's character Rod, the latter said: "Does he become a detective?"

Then joking about the ending to the horror, he added: "Did he ever take the car back to work? Because he took the car from the airport. Did he get fired? He probably lost his job."

Harold and the Purple Crayon is out in cinemas on Wednesday, 31 July.
