Still with us? Cool.
As you may know, there's going to be a Targaryen reunion in Season 7 as Jon finally meets his aunt Daenerys. That has already been confirmed here and here.
What we didn't know is that Jon's journey doesn't stop at the ancestral home of House Targaryen in Westeros.
In an interview with Uproxx, Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton was speaking about the wardrobe choices in Season 7 and she confirmed the news that Jon will meet two major characters in the upcoming episodes.
Last chance to remain spoiler free.
"This season,he really embraces this Northern, over-the-Wall style, the Wildling style, and the reason he embraces it is because it's practical. Kit was delighted that he didn't have the big heavy cape. This was agile and he could fight and move and I think it was a really interesting process just to take him out into this new look. We had a lot of discussions about does the cape give him presence or is it better to not have that presence? What are we trying to say? There are times when we removed it because we wanted him to be more vulnerable. Especially I think, when he saw Dany, and he went to see her for the first time in her chamber. We decided to remove it, but then when he went to see Cersei, we put it on."
Cersei! CERSEI!!
Is Jon actually going to meet with the despised Queen and matriarch of House Lannister?
Jesus, that's some act of forgiveness on his part. We know the White Walkers are coming and that the Seven Kingdoms needs to be united, but can Jon actually forgive House Lannister after they butchered his family?
If this happens, we might actually have confirmation about one of the most cryptic lines in the recent trailer.
Remember when Jon said "For centuries our families fought together against their common enemy. Despite their differences. We need to do the same if we're going to survive because the enemy is real." We know nothing, but that logic fits.
Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres exclusively on 17 July on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV at 2am, repeated at 9pm on the same day.
