Rod Stewart is the first act to be confirmed for Glastonbury 2025, with the 79-year-old returning to the Pyramid Stage 23 years after his last appearance at the festival.
Stewart will be playing the iconic legends slot on the Sunday afternoon of the festival, following in the footsteps of the likes of Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue and Lionel Richie.
One of the best selling artists of all time, Stewart is best known for hits like Maggie May, Hot Legs, I Don't Want to Talk About It and Sailing.
The news of his Glastonbury appearance comes after the legendary singer announced he would stop playing "large-scale world tours" at the end of 2025.
Stewart last played at Worthy Farm when he headlined the festival in 2025 alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics.
Speaking about his return to the festival, he said he was "proud, ready and more than able to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury."
In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing @glastofest 2025! After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!"
The Scotsman is the first act to be confirmed for Glastonbury 2025, which will take place from 25 to 29 June next year.
Rumours headliners for the festival include Sam Fender, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX and Eminem.
This summer's event saw Coldplay, Dua Lipa and SZA take to the Pyramid Stage as headliners.
Tickets for the festival sold out last week, with a limited number of resale tickets set to go on sale next spring.
