Fast and Furious director quit because of ‘late’ and ‘out of shape’ Vin Diesel, claims producer

A producer from Fast X, an upcoming Fast and the Furious instalment, has claimed that director Justin Lin quit because of frontman Vin Diesel. Longtime franchise staple Justin Lin announced on April 26 that he would no longer be directing Fast X, which he described as a "difficult decision." While many initially pointed the finger at 54-year-old Vin Diesel, given the countless reports of his bad attitude, nothing was ever confirmed by Universal, Diesel or Lin himself. Speaking to NY Daily News, an anonymous producer weighed in on the news. “I’ve never seen anything like it. Lin’s giving up $10 or $20 million," they allegedly said. "Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn’t know his lines. And he shows up out of shape.” While the relevant parties have confirmed nothing, that hasn't stopped Twitter from chiming in.
