David Yates will return to direct the script written by J.K. Rowling, involving the story of Grindelwald escaping custody following his arrest at the end of the first Fantastic Beasts, and gathering followers to create a race of pure-breed wizards to rule over the rest of the world. Only a young Dumbledore, and his former student Newt Scamander, can potentially stop him.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is scheduled to be released on 16 November 2018.
