The supergroup performed a 12-minute medley of some of their biggest hits, and the crowd, both in the stadium and watching at home, went wild. After performing 'Lose Yourself', Eminem took a knee and held his head in his hand in an apparent tribute to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The performance has been recognised for Outstanding Variety Special at this year's Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Eminem now only needs one more award before completing the fabled EGOT quartet and joining the likes of John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Audrey Hepburn and Whoopi Goldberg.
The 49-year-old won an Academy Award in 2003 in the Best Original Song category for 'Lose Yourself' from the film 8 Mile and between the years 2000 and 2019, received 15 Grammy awards in numerous categories. The only award Eminem has yet to receive is a Tony award, which honours the best in Broadway theatre.
It's the first time the NFL's halftime show for the biggest game of the year won the award.
Accepting the award, executive producer Jesse Collins admitted, "I am nervous, man. Jay[-Z] is watching."
"First, on behalf of the fellow executive producers and our performers, we would like to thank the television academy for this incredible honour. It's amazing. This is the first time this show has ever won this award, and it's so incredible to be a part of this moment. It took an incredible team to pull this together, and I thank you all."
