McFly member Danny Jones has issued a statement following the alleged 'drunken kiss' between him and former Love Island star Maura Higgins at the BRITs after party.
The pair, who starred alongside each other in last year's I'm A Celebrity, made headlines after appearing to lock lips at Universal Music's party in footage obtained by The Sun.
Jones has now issued a statement addressing the situation, apologising to his wife Georgia Horsley and his family.
“Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me," he wrote on Instagram.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.
“I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
Jones has been with Horsley, a former Miss England model, for over 16 years, and they married in 2014. They share a seven-year-old son together.
The pair have been seen together since the scandal.
Fans have all rushed to say the same thing following Jones' statement, and called for people to respect the duo's privacy.
"So what? He did what he did. It's their business. He shouldn't have to feel like he has to say anything," one person wrote.
Another penned: "Its their business and no one else's. Now leave them alone to sort their private business out between them!!"
A third put: "It’s nobody’s business, but there’s! No one has a right to comment and give their two pence worth on someone else’s business private business..."
