Chris Evans quits Captain America role

The actor is moving on, but what will happen to the character?

It is a sad day for Marvel film fans as Chris Evans has announced his appearance in Avengers 4 will be his last as Captain America. Evans was there in the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the lead role in the 2011 hit Captain America: The First Avenger, before the Avengers series began the year after. And now his role will culminate in the upcoming fourth Avengers film, which has just completed filming.
