Amber Heard claimed Jason Momoa ‘dressed like Johnny’ Depp on set of Aquaman 2

She claimed Momoa wanted her fired from the film

The notes, contained in a cache of documents released following the trial in June 2022, have now appeared on Reddit where Variety reports one from the 37-year-old's session with Dr Dawn Hughes mentioned Jason Momoa.

The note reads: “Jason [Momoa] said he wanted me fired. Jason drunk — late on set. Dressing like Johnny. Has all the rings too.”

A spokesperson for DC told Variety: “Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."

A source who was on set also refused Heard's claims, telling Variety: "Jason works his a** off, likes to have a beer once in a while like everyone, but doesn’t show up drunk to set. And he isn’t dressing like Johnny Depp.

"He has always dressed in that bohemian style.”

The notes also alleged that the movie's director, James Wan, wasn't allowed to promote the sequel on social media because of the media attention on her six-week defamation case in Fairfax, Virginia.

The DC spokesperson also denied that: “James is known for treating members of his cast and crew with the utmost respect and for fostering a positive, collaborative environment on set — the Aquaman films were no exception."

During the trial - which resulted in Depp winning a $10m payout, but was ultimately settled with Heard giving him $1m in June 2023, Heard claimed her role in The Lost Kingdom had been slashed and that she had to "fight" to stay in the movie as "they didn't want to include me in the film."

She added: "I was given a script. And then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving spoilers away, two characters fighting with one another. They basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch."

Wan has stated that Heard was always going to have a reduced role in The Lost Kingdom, as she isn't central to the plot.

While 2018's movie focussed on Mera and Aquaman, the sequel prioritises Aquaman's relationship with his villainous half-brother, Orm, played by Patrick Wilson.

Wan said: “I always pitched this to everyone from the get-go

“The first ‘Aquaman’ was Arthur and Mera’s journey. "The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm. So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie.

"We’ll leave it at that.”
