We need a coronavirus vaccine. Everyone but the most confused of conspiracy theorists would agree with this statement. But there is a lack of consensus regarding when exactly we should expect to get one. The government has said that we could have 30 million doses of a vaccine ready by September. Some newspapers have echoed these sentiments. But is this timeline realistic or just fanciful thinking? It's more than likely the latter. Professor Danny Altmann is an immunologist at Imperial.
